Job Description

Position Purpose:

The Label Coordinator is responsible for preparing the labeling and pre-batching components required for the efficient and accurate manufacturing of products ensuring compliance with quality control standards and customer specifications. This role also includes training team members and supporting production planning and safety initiatives to ensure that daily shipping and production schedules are met.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee preparation for product manufacturing including label printing component ordering and cycle counting.
  • Support production batch ticket process.
  • Research and analyze production variances. Fix discrepancies and research root causes. Help implement changes.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures and initiate process improvements as necessary.
  • Enforce plant safety and housekeeping programs daily to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Review and analyze the daily shipping schedule to align labeling and production support efforts.
  • Review production schedule to ensure readiness and that production goals and timelines will be met.
  • Participate in physical inventories of raw materials.
  • Support and participate in production planning meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company goals.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing or production; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality control and labeling processes.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead train and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office production scheduling software).

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing environment; may require standing for long periods lifting up to 50 lbs and working around machinery.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE.
