Job Summary The IT Contract Administrator serves as the primary liaison between Client and key internal stakeholders (Office of Procurement Risk Law Contract Compliance etc.) for legislative and non-legislative technology contracts. This role ensures the effective planning execution and management of procurement processes while maintaining compliance with city policies legal requirements and budgetary constraints. The administrator provides analytical operational and vendor management support to optimize technology procurement and contracting efficiency.
Act as the central point of contact for technology-related legislative contracts coordinating with Procurement Legal Risk and Compliance teams.
Guide contract/product owners through the procurement lifecycle ensuring timely and compliant contract execution.
Develop procurement packages define requirements and monitor contract/purchase status updates.
Validate compliance of contract documents with city ordinances policies and regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
Liaise with cross-functional teams to forecast demand conduct intake and align procurement with strategic goals.
Facilitate vendor engagement meetings and respond to inquiries via email phone or distribution lists.
Provide executive leadership with contract documentation historical records and recommendations for service optimization.
Analytical & Operational Support
Perform data analysis tracking and reporting on vendor management procurement and financial operations.
Identify risks propose mitigation strategies and escalate issues to leadership as needed.
Research industry benchmarks and government best practices for technology vendor management.
Optimize processes for efficiency automation and cost-effectiveness.
Administrative & Compliance Duties
Maintain records generate reports and support budget planning/reconciliation.
Ensure adherence to the City of Atlantas Municipal Code and contracting laws.
Assist in audits compliance reviews and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of procurement contracting and financial analysis (government experience preferred).
Excellent written/verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to multitask prioritize and adapt to shifting demands in a high-pressure environment.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
Familiarity with Municipal Code contract law and NIGP standards is a plus.
Customer-service orientation with professionalism and responsiveness.
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Procurement Accounting Finance IT Business Public Administration Law or related field. Experience: 5 years in contracting procurement or vendor management (government sector preferred). Leadership: 3 years of supervisory analytical or consulting experience.
Preferred Qualifications Education: Masters degree in Business Procurement or related field. Experience: 7 years in government procurement/contract administration. Certifications: NIGP certification or coursework (helpful but not required).
