Johnson County Libraryis a 14-branch suburban library system with a long history in our community. A suburb of the Kansas City metro area our county is growing and diversifying. Johnson County Library seeks a Program Operations Managers to work within the Program Department to oversee the resources and staff who implement and deliver Library Programs. The Program Operations Manager is adept at activating strategic plans by informing and supporting the design and development of programs and managing the implementation of programs. This individual leverages operations and people management skills along with the ability to develop internal and external relationships to deliver high-quality in-person and/or digital programs that align to the communitys needs and interests. This individual is highly collaborative and proficient at managing people and navigating the processes and procedures of the Program Department the Library and Johnson County. Minimum Job Requirements:
A bachelors degree in Education Literacy Event Management or relevant field is required. Two (2) years of experience in program or event planning is also required.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
Education/Experience Substitutions:
Experience may be substituted for education. Education may be substituted for experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
A masters degree in Library Science Education Literacy or relevant field is preferred. One (1) year of experience leading directing supervising or coordinating the work of others is also preferred.
Physical Environmental and Special Working Conditions:
All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation.
May be required to respond on days/hours outside normal office hours.
