Security Officer Part Time

Location:Mount Vernon IL
Rate:$17.50-$18.50/HR

We are a THC Free and Drug Free Workplace.
Drug screen (mouth swab and/or urinalyses are used) and background investigation (drug screen includes THC).
Interviews will be virtual on the Google Meet App.

Available shift for position will be 2nd shift Monday and Tuesday and will include some weekends and some holidays.
What Your Day May Look Like:
- Conflict resolution and De-escalation.
- Secure entrances / patrol inside and outside the clients premises.
- Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
- Identify and report safety issues or hazardous conditions.
- Clearly and quickly report any suspicious activity.
- Provide detailed written witness reports.

Security Officer Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for a PERC Security Officer License in the State of Illinois.
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record required. (All our positions will include driver certification).
- Have reliable working communication device (cell phone).
- Have a High School Diploma or GEDorbe willing to complete the GED program within six months.
- Average to above average computer skills.
- Customer service background preferred.
- Security experience a plus.
- Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
- Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
- Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift.
- Willing to participate in the Companys Security Officer pre-employment screening processincluding drug screen (mouth swab and/or urinalyses are used)and background investigation (drug screen includes THC).
- Have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Ability to speak read and write English.
- Have reliable transportation (private transportation is required)(No public transportation is available).
