Job Summary

The Department Coordinator assists their group in planning and carrying out broad assignments that lead to recommendations for change methods procedures or policies. This role develops plans and assists in coordinating activities to achieved planned results. Working with various levels of supervision the Department Coordinator may be given full responsibility for planning and conducting assignments of moderate complexity.

This role is based at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant.

Job Description

  • Maintains the calendar; coordinates meetings and schedules conference rooms and equipment for the group supported.
  • Sustains departmental files dispositions and transmits and records.
  • Gathers compiles and summarizes information for various special projects and conducts special studies as required.
  • Assists with and performs the analysis of data and evaluation of performance of systems equipment work activities and programs within area of expertise.
  • Performs analysis and evaluation of equipment and uses expertise to solve problems and recommend corrective action
  • Aids in the evaluation of industry proposals regulations and guidelines to determine impact to plant activities programs and processes.
  • Prepares materials and conduct training on standard and new procedures and processes.
  • Determines and recommends courses of corrective action to address existing and emerging situations.
  • Technical subject matter expertise within defined area of expertise.


Knowledge/Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in technical discipline or a High School diploma
  • 6 years equivalent related work experience in area of technical expertise
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite preferred
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required
