You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Lead System Engineer participates in developing technical support for operating systems capabilities and other software tools. This role troubleshoots software programs and implements systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
Controls user access and passwords with responsibility for security. 15%
Develop and execute firm-wide plan regarding operating systems including installation and on-going administration. 25%
Develops software tools including operating systems routers networks utilities databases and Internet-related tools. 30%
Management of direct reports (reporting to the role) 1 - 3. 10%
Monitor usage and performance of systems. 20%
Education
Required: Bachelor; Computer Science Information Systems Information Technology Software Engineering
Preferred: Master or Advanced; Computer Science Information Systems Information Technology Software Engineering
Language
Required: English
Experience
Required: Typically 7 years business experience; expert in one or more specific skill sets business areas or products. Combination of Windows Linux iSeries EMC NetApp WebSphere Telephony Network or Vmware. Experience with current computing platforms. Complete day-to-day activities independently. Interpersonal skills necessary to oversee a small team of junior staff.
Preferred: Experience working for a publicly traded company in a similar role.
