What will you be doing
Your journey begins by converting customer requirements into practical innovative solutions. During the concept phase you will develop initial designs supported by basic calculations to ensure technical feasibility.
As the design progresses you will work closely with Structural Engineers during the basic design phase to refine concepts ensuring they meet project specifications.
In the detailed design phase you will guide draftsmen providing clear technical instructions to create accurate high-quality drawings. You will also be responsible for reviewing and validating these drawings to ensure they meet project standards before release.
Throughout the process your role is to ensure each design is logical feasible and aligned with Royal Roos technical standards. By balancing customer needs with industry regulations and quality requirements you will deliver effective efficient designs that exceed expectations.
Professional Competencies
- BA work and thinking level
- 5 years of experience in a similar role (marine/offshore or related technical industry)
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software
- Able to perform initial structural assessments by analysing force transmission in structures
- Knowledge of industry standards for steel detailing and fabrication
- Strong command of the English language (both written and verbal)
