You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe District Cooling Plant Operator is responsible for the safe efficient and reliable operation of the district cooling plant including chillers pumps cooling towers heat exchangers and control systems. The operator monitors and controls plant equipment performs routine checks and responds to alarms and abnormal conditions to ensure uninterrupted cooling supply to clients.
Operate and monitor district cooling plant systems including chillers pumps cooling towers and water treatment systems.
Perform regular inspections and readings of gauges meters and control panels.
Respond promptly to alarms and abnormal conditions taking corrective action to maintain plant integrity.
Log all plant activities equipment status and operational data accurately and timely.
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Support in planned shutdowns startups and maintenance activities as required.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Assist in water quality testing and dosing of chemicals as part of the plants water treatment program.
Report any equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to the Plant Supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the plant area at all times.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and technical skills.
Education: Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Electrical HVAC or related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 5 years of experience in operating HVAC or district cooling systems.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of chiller systems (centrifugal or absorption) pumps valves control panels and water treatment.
Ability to read P&ID diagrams technical manuals and operational data.
Proficient in using BMS/SCADA systems for monitoring and control.
