Job Description
Responsibilities: Patrol the property to ensure personnel assets buildings gates and fence perimeters are secure in all weather conditions. Monitor and control access by verifying the identity of individuals attempting to gain access. Use identification checks visitor logs and access control systems to ensure only authorized personnel are admitted. Operate and monitor surveillance equipment alarm systems and other security equipment. Respond to any unusual activities captured by these systems and certify all equipment is functioning correctly. Respond immediately to alarms by assessing the situation and determining the appropriate response. Investigate the cause of the alarm contact emergency services if needed and neutralize threats. Assist employees and visitors by providing help and guidance in a friendly and professional manner including giving directions and providing information about the premises. Document all incidents security breaches and disturbances in comprehensive reports. Ensure that reports are submitted promptly and kept on file for future reference and analysis. Uphold and enforce company policies security protocols and legal regulations. Regularly conduct audits and checks to ensure adherence to relevant laws and company policies. Provide first aid or CPR during medical emergencies until professional medical assistance arrives and stay current with first aid and CPR certifications. Remove trespassers or unwanted individuals from the property. Contact the relevant authorities if a crime is committed or an accident occurs. Record any suspicious activities .
Requirements
High school qualification or equivalent. A qualification in security training . X years of experience as a Security Guard or similar role. Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety. Some experience with report writing. Outstanding surveillance and observation skills. Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense. Registered as a security officer. Physical strength and fitness. Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
