Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible to:

  • Maintain a high-quality relationship with the manufacturing team they are supporting

  • Support manufacturing Build in Quality initiative by providing a last line of defense inspection of the product for their area

  • Execute product and process validation / inspection plans

  • Identify and contain suspect defective material

  • Have the potential to utilize advanced metrology equipment to control processes and identify defects

  • Inspect test or measure components products and materials being produced.

  • Initiate and participate in quality related continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects

  • Develop maintain and improve the quality culture within responsible area

  • May perform other duties as assigned Potential business travel to support product /process development at company



Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing/assembly/quality process and/or automotive repair and/or mechanical experience (2 years preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pre-production vehicles and High volume manufacturing experience
  • Problem solving experience
  • continuous improvement process experience
  • Electrical vehicles features knowledge
  • Customer quality expectations understanding
  • Knowledge of statistical process control / control charts High school education or equivalent (Bachelor Degree preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.
