The Quality Control Inspector is responsible to:
Maintain a high-quality relationship with the manufacturing team they are supporting
Support manufacturing Build in Quality initiative by providing a last line of defense inspection of the product for their area
Execute product and process validation / inspection plans
Identify and contain suspect defective material
Have the potential to utilize advanced metrology equipment to control processes and identify defects
Inspect test or measure components products and materials being produced.
Initiate and participate in quality related continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects
Develop maintain and improve the quality culture within responsible area
May perform other duties as assigned Potential business travel to support product /process development at company
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Manufacturing/assembly/quality process and/or automotive repair and/or mechanical experience (2 years preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pre-production vehicles and High volume manufacturing experience
- Problem solving experience
- continuous improvement process experience
- Electrical vehicles features knowledge
- Customer quality expectations understanding
- Knowledge of statistical process control / control charts High school education or equivalent (Bachelor Degree preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.
