Job Description
Newhaul is seeking a Fixed Plant Electrician to join our Port team on a 7 Days 7 Nights 7 Off Roster where youll play a key role in maintaining and servicing fixed plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Roster and Remuneration:
- Hourly Rate: $65/hr
- Annualised Wage: $189500 per year Superannuation Performance Bonus
- Roster: 7 Days 7 Nights 7 Off
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations procedures and standards; ensure compliance with legislative requirements and workplace health and safety.
- Work Planning & Execution: Plan prioritise and execute tasks as per daily work orders including corrective maintenance and capital works projects.
- Equipment Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct inspections fault-finding and testing on fixed plant and associated electrical equipment including 12V and 24VDC systems and CCTV apparatus.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records complete log book entries provide progress updates and report incidents in a timely manner.
- Supervision & Training: Oversee apprentices including log book sign-offs and foster knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Shutdowns & Coordination: Assist with shutdown procedures LOTO implementation and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Housekeeping & Site Maintenance: Ensure site cleanliness maintain MCC areas and uphold high housekeeping standards.
- Autonomous & Teamwork Capabilities: Work independently while coordinating with other teams and departments when required.
This is a permanent opportunity based in Geraldton working 12-hour shifts on a 7 Days 7 Nights 7 Off Roster.

- Electrical Trade Certificate
- Current Electrical Licence
- HRWL EWP
