Job Description

Due to continued growth our Transmission & Distribution team is expanding and were excited to welcome a Graduate-level Engineer to support a wide range of impactful projects across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.

How youll make a difference:

As a graduate project engineer youll be mentored by industry experts while gaining hands-on experience in the design and delivery of transmission line projects. Youll be involved in:

  • Supporting the concept and detailed design of transmission lines using industry-standard tools such as PLS-CADD.
  • Assisting with structural assessments and designs of towers and poles using Excel PLS-TOWER and PLS-POLE.
  • Learning to design various foundation types including grillage direct-embed and pile foundations.
  • Contributing to design reports and project documentation.
  • Participating in site visits and inspections to see your designs come to life.

Qualifications :

We know not everyone has years of experience thats okay! What matters most is your enthusiasm to learn and grow. Ideally youll bring:

  • A recently completed or soon-to-be completed degree in Civil Structural Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • A strong interest in transmission line design and a desire to work in the energy infrastructure sector.
  • Familiarity with design software (e.g. PLS-CADD) is a plus but not essential well train you!
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
  • A proactive self-motivated mindset and a passion for solving real-world engineering challenges.
