Job Description
- Schedule: Monday through Friday no weekends or call coverag
- Average Census: 46 inpatient consultations and follow-ups per day
- Collaborative Team: Work closely with physicians APPs social workers pharmacists chaplains and nurses
- Environment: Supportive patient-centered and mission-driven care culture
Primary Responsibilities
Provide inpatient consultative services for palliative care patients including symptom management and goals-of-care discussions
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a coordinated patient-focused plan of care
Support smooth care transitions and promote respect for patients preferences and values
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and optimize use of healthcare resources
Contribute to daily team operations and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications :
- Board Certification in area of specialty (required); Palliative Care certification preferred
DEA and controlled substance registration (required)
Inpatient hospitalist acute or critical care experience strongly preferred
