The Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Leader is a hands-on landscaping position that supervises a year-round crew performing commercial landscaping maintenance services and performing certain planning administrative and regulatory functions.
CGM Crew Leader responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervise and train maintenance crews on all aspects of landscape maintenance services.
Mowing raking digging and weeding commercial property landscapes.
Load and unload heavy equipment and plant materials from trucks.
Schedule and manage daily workloads.
Plan coordinate and collect equipment and job materials each day.
Attend and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
Prepare time sheets and other daily paperwork as required by the company.
Safe driving of company-owned vehicles trucks (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members.
Maintain on-site relations and communications with clients contractors and/or subcontractors.
Monitor and maintain irrigation controller (changing times replacing heads etc...)
Safe operation and maintenance of the following landscaping equipment:
Mowers - Push walk behind and ride.
Tillers aerators and slit seeders
Edgers string trimmers and chainsaws
Backpack blowers and sprayers.
Hand tools such as shovels picks rakes and pruning tools.
On occasion wheel tractors

$700 to $995 Weekly Salary

*Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a routine basis
*Ability to bend and stoop continually
*Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
*Ability to work around bees poison ivy pollen thorns and other environmental risks
*Must be able to work with minimal supervision
*Must wear sturdy shoes company uniforms and assigned PPE
*Must present yourself in a professional polite manner
*Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment
*Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required
*Must have a valid state drivers license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)
*Must be able to pass a criminal background check
*Must be willing to obtain a state Pesticide applicator license (if available)
*Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
*Must comply with Blands policies and procedures

Full-Time
