Job Details

Position Summary:

MarshBerry is currently seeking a Relationship Manager located in one of the MarshBerry office locations. The Relationship Manager will contribute to the development and execution of MarshBerrys Association & Affinity Group strategy with the goal of developing long-term strategic partnerships with those groups. This role is responsible for managing relationships often in collaboration with other MarshBerry consultants or subject matter experts with insurance and wealth management industry associations that drive new business opportunities and expand MarshBerrys reach. Its a hands-on role requiring regular work to refine and maintain a database which serves as a key knowledge source for helping all stakeholders manage the relationships effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and execute MarshBerrys Association and Affinity Group strategy. Collaborate with key stakeholders within MarshBerry including business unit leaders sales and marketing to ensure alignment on the strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders from targeted Association and Affinity Groups. Develop strong understanding of targeted Association and Affinity Groups to ensure time and resources are allocated effectively to maximize value.
  • Ensure MarshBerry consultants and subject matter experts are effectively managing relationships to which they are assigned by helping them consistently meet established relationship management expectations.
  • Maintain and improve how effectively technology tools are used to maintain and leverage a comprehensive database for things like tracking demographics and ensuring relationship management best practices are being followed. SalesForce would be the primary application used.
  • Maintain calendar of Association and Affinity Group meetings and tracking of MarshBerry colleagues representing the organization at events conferences and meetings. Ensure effective communication and preparation for MarshBerry colleagues attending meetings.
  • Identify key performance metrics for Association and Affinity Group strategy and ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Develop and deliver dashboard reports and presentations on outcomes that demonstrate measurable business impact based on the identified goals.
  • Develop process for regular evaluation of targeted Association and Affinity groups to ensure partnerships are having desired results.
  • Oversee Association and Affinity Group budget and expense tracking.
  • Monitor industry trends competitive landscape and emerging opportunities to refine engagement strategies.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with potential internal/external clients partners and stakeholders that can directly or indirectly lead to revenue generation for all MarshBerry services.

Selection Criteria

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Communications or related degrees.
  • 5-7 years of relationship management business development or sales.
  • Experience with associations membership organizations or affinity groups within the insurance and/or wealth management industries is preferred.
  • Experience in financial services insurance consulting or wealth management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word Excel Access PowerPoint and other software as it applies.
  • CRM experience preferably Salesforce.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach to business development.
  • Ability to travel 50-60% of the time; includes overnight and weekend travel.
  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed.
