POSITION DETAILS GTN Staffing is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Business Development & Customer Service Representative to join our clients growing team. This is an on-site role and is ideal for someone who thrives in both relationship-building and hands-on account support. You ll be responsible for expanding our clients customer base nurturing long-term relationships and ensuring that client needs are met with professionalism and precision. Our client is a leading U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in high-quality aluminum and zinc die castings with integrated CNC machining and assembly services.
In this dual-role position the Business Development & Customer Service Representative will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across key industries such as automotive industrial and commercial. This includes conducting outbound outreach attending industry events and following up on inbound inquiries. The role involves developing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients while working closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate quoting and lead-time estimates. Managing a healthy sales pipeline through CRM tools and providing regular progress reports and KPIs are essential to success. On the customer service side the representative will act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts overseeing the process from order entry through delivery. They will proactively communicate with clients regarding production status timelines and any issues that arise while collaborating internally to resolve discrepancies or quality concerns. Maintaining detailed customer records and communication logs as well as monitoring satisfaction and identifying upselling or service improvement opportunities are also key responsibilities of the role.
REQUIREMENTS - 3 years of experience in business development sales or customer service preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Self-motivated highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot).
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand manufacturing terminology is a strong asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED - Strong understanding of the manufacturing process (die casting CNC machining assembly) is a plus.
