Job Description

Job Responsibilities

The person in this position will develop administer and evaluate the Instructional Leadership for Academy for Assistant Principals (ILA). Develop administer and evaluate the coaching and instructional leadership series Building Instructional Capacity (BIC). Serve in a coaching role to assigned Principal Induction Program (PIP) participants with a minimum of three on site coaching visits during the year. Provide assistance and support to all Office of School Leadership programs. Provide guidance and technical assistance concerning educational leadership and principal alternative certification to district and school administrators as requested. Serve on teams across divisional lines for educational projects to enhance the goals and objectives of public education. Perform other duties as requested by the office director.

This position is located in the Office of Leadership Effectiveness.


Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelors degree and experience in education management or business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a school principal.
  • Valid South Carolina certification in school leadership.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and facilitating professional development programs for school administrators.

Additional Comments

Some statewide travel is required.
