JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide leadership and manage a classroom team of paraprofessionals and therapistsEngagement with multidisciplinary teams across SCEC and the surrounding communitiesWork as a productive member of the instructional team to maximize student outcomes andindependenceRecognize the need for and provide assistance to students in a variety of learning environmentsincluding the communityMaintain data collection to evaluate and develop research-based data-informed best practice strategiesfor all studentsDevelop/support foundational Deeper Learning pedagogy to facilitate internal and external learningParticipate in implementation of Collaborative Problem Solving approachDeveloping and maintaining partnerships across all educational settingsOther student-related assigned responsibilities as needed including 1:1 assistanceWrite reports develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) maintain and develop Behavior Intervention Plans as well as data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goalsWork with expert consultants to identify and/or develop effective support systems for students and familiesDevelop positive relationships with familiesDevelop positive relationships with internal and external community membersParticipation in a mentor program that focuses on PBIS & SCERTS approachesAbility to mentor and coach professional and paraprofessional staff Ability to recognize the need for and to provide assistance to students in an appropriately active classroom settingResponsibility to stay up to date with current educational practicesOther student-related assigned responsibilities as needed including 1:1 assistanceEMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:Participation in mentoring/ training sessions across SCEC programsOpportunities for job mobility: on-going career counseling; training opportunities; degree/licensure programs; other professional development opportunitiesPost job offer physical exam
