This position primarily focuses on the Immediate Cancer Clinic our active treatment symptom management clinic with rotations to the inpatient Hematology/Oncology consult service. Three other advanced practice providers in the Immediate Cancer Clinic make up this team and allows for self-scheduling. Responsibilities: As an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Mayo Clinic you will utilize advanced health assessment and decision-making skills honed through a formal educational program that meets professional criteria. Your role will encompass comprehensive patient care focusing on the individual as a whole. Key responsibilities include:
During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview a question will appear on your screen and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.
New Grads will not be considered at this time 2 years of APP experience in Hematology/Oncology preferred
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as an ACNP or AGACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications:
Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
