JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide leadership ad manage a classroom team of paraprofessionals and therapistsAbility to work as a productive member of an instructional team to maximize student outcomesDevelop units of instruction that are aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Common CoreDevelop MCAS-ALT portfolios and/or proctor MCAS testingWrite reports develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) maintain data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate students progress and adjust student goalsWork with expert consultants to identify and/or develop effective support systems for student and familiesDevelop positive relationships with familiesDevelop positive relationships with internal and external community membersAbility to mentor and coach professional and paraprofessional membersAbility to recognize the need for and to provide assistance to student in an appropriately active classroom settingResponsibility to stay up to date with current educational in a mentor program that focuses on Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS) Social Communication Emotional Regulation Transactional Supports (SCERTS) collaborative problem solving (CPS) and Deeper Learning approaches.
