Collins Aerospace is seeking an established professional to oversee the planning and replenishment of primarily carbon materials for the six global Wheels and Brakes Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) network of sites. This position works with limited supervision to achieve day-to-day objectives to ensure the service centers are meeting customer contractual turn-around-times (TAT). This position also owns more strategic objectives that include inventory planning across all service centers and programs maximizing carbon reuse and meeting carbon consumption strategies by service center and program.

This position can work onsite in either Louisville KY or onsite in Los Angeles CA. Relocation assistance is provided.

What You Will Do:

  • Creates and executes PFEP (plan for every part) and maintain master data primarily for carbon parts and hardware across Global Wheel and Brake Maintenance Repair and Overhaul network
  • Manages global carbon inventory for service centers to meet customer demand and financial metrics
  • Responds to service center inquiries about replenishment order status changes or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Tracks and manages inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP) and stock transfer order (STO) promise dating expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow.
  • Performs carbon analytics based on consumption fall out across service centers customer and programs makes informed decisions to sustain carbon program health and deliver accurate forecasts by part type supporting timely customer deliveries and TATs.
  • Performs analysis with work order variance to maximize carbon re-use utilization
  • Coordinate between carbon suppliers forecasting team and production teams to maintain uninterrupted material flow and align supply with production forecasts and ensure successful customer delivery
  • Prepares purchasing orders STOs (stock transfer orders) approves payments and pull-in/pushouts to ensure purchasing process goes smoothly under general practice.
  • Implemented Kanban system within the MRP system to automate material replenishment adjusting to supplier performance demand fluctuations and changes in shop floor lead times to proactively prevent material shortages.
  • Flexible days on site per week / work hours in support of global network
  • Travel 20% domestic and international

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Microsoft Office such as Excel Macro Pivot Analysis or xlookup
  • Tableau for reports and data visualization

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Materials forecasting experience
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with SAP is a plus
  • Experience in Aerospace MRO

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
