Description

We exist so families can get better together. Each night we keep 181 families close to the care and resources they need through six area Ronald McDonald Houses and four Ronald McDonald Family Rooms. Enabling families to stay close to their hospitalized child supports the health and well-being of the child and saves families more than $10 million in hotel and food costs each year. We also operate the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program providing medical care to children in underserved areas. RMHC-CNI is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

The 2025 OLCHS Student Summer Worker will perform varied support across functional operational areas including: family care community outreach volunteer services business operations and general household management. The Student Summer Worker will be assigned daily support tasks in addition to a possible umbrella project across the summer with intended lasting impact.

Hours

Part-time 20 hours per week Monday-Friday exact hours are flexible.

Pay

$15/hr. paid every two-weeks.

Minimum Qualifications

A personal interest in the mission of Ronald McDonald House strong organizational and time management skills ability to multi-task ability to work with a large variety of people including children and senior citizens computer literate proficiency in Microsoft Office ability to work independently self-starter and self-motivated team player and positive attitude.

Anticipated Responsibilities

  • Assist and support families as the need arises
  • Display good customer service skills
  • Warmly welcome volunteers to their shifts ensuring that each volunteer understands and feels comfortable with their task at hand.
  • Support volunteers throughout the House and manage any basic troubleshooting
  • Give volunteers families and other key constituents a tour of the House
  • Maintain acknowledgement system for in-kind donations
  • Assure that a clean and orderly environment is maintained throughout the House
  • Put away donations
  • Other duties as assigned by Programs and Operations Management.
