The Yard Technician is responsible for the general organization of the yard to ensure the safe
and smooth operation of the yard operations and related off-site locations. This person
will assist with various aspects of theconstruction yard including occupational and environmental health and safety yard teammanagement material inventory maintenance and possible minor repair of vehicles as needed.

The Yard Technician is responsible for the general organization of the yard to ensure the safe
and smooth operation of the yard operations and related off-site locations. This person
will assist with various aspects of theconstruction yard including occupational and environmental health and safety yard teammanagement material inventory maintenance and possible minor repair of vehicles as needed.
How You Will Contribute
- Oversee material and equipment inventory and restocking.
- Oversee yard layout and equipment lineup.
- Responsible for the organization of the yard including general yard maintenance and yard cleanup.
- Loading and unloading material on/off delivery trucks or company vehicles.
- Clean and organize shop work area: sweep and clean work surfaces clean vehiclesstore parts empty and discard garbage.
- May operate power-driven equipment that may be needed to maintain the yard such asleaf blowers weed trimmers and forklifts.
- May perform minor repairs on equipment as directed.
- Comply with company and federal safety rules policies and procedures to include wearing required safety equipment PPE responding to safety concerns and taking appropriate action.
- May be required to handle hazardous materials.
What You Bring to the Table
- Valid Class C Drivers License with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of the safe and proper use of equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of the proper use of equipment materials and supplies used in heavy/highwayconstruction work is preferred.
- Organizational skills are a must. Inventory skills are a plus.
- Able to maintain a clean organized clutter-free yard.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedulewith minimal direction.
- Ability to understand follow and transmit written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Your Prior Experience
- Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred: Forklift certification is a plus.
- Preferred: Mechanically inclined is a plus.
- Preferred: Experience operating a forklift and front-end loader is a plus.
