About the Role:
The Grinder position is located at our Augusta facility reporting to the Foundry more to see if this amazing job opportunity is for you:
What youll do:
- Place finished work in the designated parts container and dispose of scrap materials in the specified scrap container.
- Inspect parts for defects
- Measure parts to determine accuracy of machine operation using rules templates or other measuring instruments.
- Read job standard operating procedures to determine product specifications and tooling instructions and to plan operational sequences.
- Observe machine operation to detect part defects or machine malfunctions adjusting machines as necessary.
- Load completed work and scrap materials into containers as specified.
- Check for proper adjustments of grinding guard and tool rests
- Grind or punch castings per the designated Grinding Process Sheet.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
