Job Description
The Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Leader is a hands-on landscaping position supervising a year-round crew performing commercial landscaping maintenance services and performing specific planning administrative and regulatory functions.
CGM Crew Leader responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and train maintenance crews on all aspects of landscape maintenance services.
- Mowing raking digging and weeding commercial property landscapes.
- Load and unload heavy equipment and plant materials from trucks.
- Schedule and manage daily workloads.
- Plan coordinate and collect equipment and job materials each day.
- Attend and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
- Prepare time sheets and other daily paperwork as required by the company.
- Safe driving of company-owned vehicles trucks (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members.
- Maintain on-site relations and communications with clients contractors and/or subcontractors.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation controller (changing times replacing heads etc...)
Safe operation and maintenance of the following landscaping equipment:
- Mowers - Push walk behind and ride.
- Tillers aerators and slit seeders
- Edgers string trimmers and chainsaws
- Backpack blowers and sprayers.
- Hand tools such as shovels picks rakes and pruning tools.
- On occasion wheel tractors
Pay/Benefits Package
- $750 to $995 Weekly Salary

*Must be able to work with minimal supervision
*Must wear sturdy shoes company uniforms and assigned PPE
*Must present yourself in a professional polite manner
*Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment
*Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required
*Must have a valid NC Drivers license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)
*Must be able to pass a criminal background check
*Must be willing to obtain an NC Pesticide applicator license
*Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
*Must comply with Blands policies and procedures
*Must be able to pass a criminal background check
