International Risk and Control sits within International Card Services (ICS) which comprises of all the issuing functions across all 28 international markets excluding the US - colleagues operate across a variety of geographies and disciplines. ICS issues products to our Consumer and Commercial customers the organization is an integral part of the global growth strategy for American Express; offering differentiated products and services is critical to our success and promises to drive significant growth and value through the delivery of innovative products tailored to the needs of our customers. Our organization of 500 colleagues helps our international businesses manage risk respond to new regulation and develop new products whilst creating and nurturing effective partnerships across multiple key stakeholders across the organisation. The organisation also leads an enterprise-wide International Financial Crimes Transformation and Privacy programmes.
Reporting to the SVP International Risk and Control this is an exciting position for a hard-working and highly motivated individual looking to progress their career at American Express.
The role will support the smooth implementation of the recent organisation changes as well as ongoing effective operations and management of this complex dynamic and growing pan-International this role there will be critical focus on; providing clear and effective communications (within organisation and with key stakeholders) efficient business planning organisation management and strategy development.
How will you make an impact in this role
The Director Assistant will be a key member of the International Risk and Control Leadership Team. The role is ideal for someone who is proactive highly organised able to manage their own time and prioritise effectively and can lead during times of ambiguity. This role is centred around building effective collaborative partnerships across many international markets and across our Issuing and Acquiring businesses. The Director will handle a broad range of complex business and management topics working with the different teams within ICS and other key stakeholders including Compliance Finance CEG CA&C Risk and GCO among others.
