invites applications for the following:
Part -Time Student Services and Off-Campus Education Coach
A Student Services and Off-Campus Education Coachs role is to work with students parents school staff and community stakeholders. Overall the Coachs work is focused on helping ensure students successfully navigate key transition periods within a students education support school completion and graduation and transition from school to the workforce or post-secondary school.
Key priorities are to provide career counseling (course selection) post-secondary navigation and application support supervise and coordinate distance education/outreach course completion as well as supervise off-campus education (Work Experience RAP) including workplace inspections in schools where these tasks have not been assigned to a teacher. They will establish seek out and work in partnership with students parents and community stakeholders to provide students with opportunities to support high school completion and successful transition to post-secondary education.
Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications and experience in the following areas is preferred:
- High School Diploma and completion of Post-Secondary Diploma Certificate or Degree; or equivalency
- Valid Drivers License satisfactory Drivers abstract and vehicle is required
- Related training or experience with a school setting or working alongside youth
- Knowledge of Alberta Senior High Pathways and Alberta Education Graduation Requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders and community partnerships
- Willingness to take initiative and strong organizational skills
- Standard First Aid Certificate is an asset
- Training in Occupational Health and Safety is an asset
