Job Description

Staffing Coordinator


Exceptional Family Resources (EFR) a growing Syracuse-based not-for-profit agency is currently seeking a full-time Staffing Coordinator to oversee services from our Syracuse office.


Position Summary: Responsible for recruiting hiring scheduling and finding hours for Direct Support Professionals within the agency as well as onboarding for all departments.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Advertise and recruit for open positions within the Community Habilitation and Respite Department
  • Recruit interview and recommend applicants for hire
  • Coordinate the completion of training requirements for new hires
  • Coordinate and track staffing needs with department supervisors; recruit and hire accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with DSPs interested in working additional hours
  • Work closely with Community Habilitation and Respite supervisors to develop and maintain schedules and identify potential hours for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
  • Provide direct support habilitative services as required by agency
  • Perform administrative duties necessary to maintain accurate records utilizing the technology in accordance with Agency Policies and Procedures
  • Attend all staff department and team meetings and mandatory training sessions to keep abreast of updated agency policies and OPWDD regulations
  • Conduct self in a manner as to always contribute to maximum individual growth and in accordance with all regulations and agency policy and procedures
  • Accomplish other job related tasks and/or duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Service-related field preferred
  • Familiarity with OPWDD requirements and oversight of disability services preferred
  • Experience supporting people with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Reliable transportation
  • Current auto insurance; valid driver license; acceptable driving record.
  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and requirements preferred
  • Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by EFRs technology policy.
