What is the job about
Peerless Pump Company is seeking a Plant Controller with Finance experience in a manufacturing plant setting. The Plant controller provides finance support and control of all operational activities in Peerless covering manufacturing logistics purchasing inventory and service operations. The position will be a point of contact between Finance and Operations responsible for delivering insights to both teams as well as Senior Management with respect to Operational issues. The Plant Controller will furthermore be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements within the area of responsibility. This position reports directly to the Finance Director and will operate daily out of the Indianapolis IN facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.
Your main responsibilities:
Monthly review and reporting of Operations financial and non-financial performance
Ad-hoc business support and analysis as well as structural updates and compliance
Product costing review and follow-up matching to Business Unit performance report
Preparation of Operations forecast and budget input including annual FOCAC process
Inventory review in close collaboration with logistics team
Preparation and follow-up of CAPEX business plans
Involvement in SIOP process including variance dialogues with relevant stakeholders
Your background
We imagine that you have:
Qualified candidates will possess Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Accounting required. Masters degree a plus.
4 years of relevant Finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
Fluency in English.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Highly analytical
Must be able to operate in a cross functional team environment across the company
End-to-end value chain perspective enabling collection of data from multiple source systems and translation into consolidated views.
Challenges proposals and decisions in a constructive objective and professional way. Provides alternative options and keeps the long-term interests of all stakeholders in mind.
Ability to clearly and concisely summarize data and present conclusions to senior management.
Extensive use of complex spreadsheets and datasets to consolidate and analyze data.
Proven ability to work closely with Management.
Style that is collaborative service oriented and supportive.
Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and be self-sufficient.
Super User in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and PowerBI.
Preferably good knowledge of SAP (S4 Hana) FI BW and TM1.
