Job Description
Summary:
Clean Harbors is looking for a Facility Operations Supervisor to lead front-line plant operations in our La Porte TX facility. This position involves supervising multiple departments including refinery operations shipping and receiving maintenance blending and wastewater treatment. The Supervisor will oversee daily activities mentor plant employees and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will be a skilled leader with significant plant operations experience.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in relevant fields preferred
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in plant operations including supervisory experience
Certifications:
- Department of Transportation (DOT) training
- Forklift training
Responsibilities
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and mentor staff
- Proficient in Windows-based applications
- Familiarity with scanning applications EOM scanning SOPs and VPI/Pick sheets
- Knowledge of plant operations and plant-specific procedures
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to SOPs
- Ability to make decisions in key operational areas such as hiring training and performance management
