ABOUT THE ROLE/ TEAM
The Workforce Insights team is a full stack team working on one of Beamerys newest products. We own Beamerys Job Architecture Portal and associated backend APIs.
We sit in Beamerys AI vector and collaborate daily with knowledge engineers ML engineers and data scientists.
We help customers optimise their workforce planning by giving them tools and insights to help them quickly and easily visualise define and manage their job architecture.
Our current challenge is bringing fine-grained permissions and approval workflows into our product while maintaining high performance as our product grows.
Our tech stack is: Python TypeScript Kubernetes Istio PostgreSQL MongoDB REDIS.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING AT BEAMERY
We are looking for a product-minded Backend Engineer to help ensure our Job Architecture and Labour Market Insight APIs evolve and scale to cope with new feature development varied customer needs and increased user traffic. This person will:
Play a critical role in designing developing and operating our microservices APIs and the data models backing them.
Work with teammates to continuously improve our APIs which deliver role and skill insights for our customers.
Execute on projects and follow through end to end starting with discovery and design through prototyping and implementation to gauging success and owning operations.
Collaborate with product managers designers and fellow team members to identify and implement optimal design approaches to deliver value to our customers.
Improve our internal processes documentation and ways of working (we focus on delivering value to our customers through agile methodologies iterative delivery and close collaboration both within our team and across Beamery).
Play a pivotal role in cultivating a vibrant company culture that champions creativity by championing a welcoming atmosphere where team members are empowered to openly share their thoughts and innovative ideas.
Participate in company-wide initiatives and learning & development opportunities such as tribes hackathons and programs like Women in Engineering to foster a diverse and inclusive culture.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Strong experience in developing and deploying large-scale high-performance services/APIs
Expertise with Python TypeScript or similar languages
Strong SQL skills
Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker Kubernetes)
Curious to understand Why before diving into technical implementation
Good communication skills
Proactive team player whos committed to continuous improvement
