About the role:
Geelong Grammar School Toorak currently seeks a suitably qualified highly experienced and driven Strings/Piano Instrumental Music Tutor. The role and function of the Instrumental Music Tutor is to plan and deliver engaging and considered individual music lessons to students from Prep to Year 6 inclusive of our Classroom Instrumental Programs for Years 2 and 3 and assistance in ensembles.
This is a casual contract for approximately one day per role requires availability on Thursdays intending to further increase the load as the program continues to grow.
Ideally the successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
Tertiary Music qualification - Strings/Piano.
Experience teaching within a school music program.
A proven record of excellence in tutoring and performance skills gained through training or experience
A dynamic manner with the ability to relate well to students of all ages and abilities and to communicate effectively with students parents and staff.
Experience in tuition of individual students and small groups within a Classroom Instrumental Programme.
Availability to participate in rehearsals concerts and music events.
Provide Ensemble direction piano accompaniment and conducting skills will be considered advantageous.
VIT or Working with Children Check
