The Supervisor Vascular Services exhibits exemplary clinical operational and financial performance in the Vascular Lab. This role is responsible for facilitating the planning organization implementation and control of the resources needed for optimal performance in coordination with the physicians other clinicians and support staff. It is the purpose of the Vascular Lab to provide a service to physicians which will assist them in the diagnosis of patients who have peripheral vascular disease as well as the characterization of the obstruction and its functional significance and localization of its anatomic site. This is accomplished by the utilization of duplex ultrasound as well as physiologic vascular testing.
Essential Job Functions
Supervisory duties include Staff scheduling daily staff assignments on-call staff resource enforcement of time and attendance policies and employee orientation and development.
Clinical Staffing: Assures timeliness and accuracy of non-invasive ultrasound and physiologic peripheral arterial and venous vascular studies.
Conduct lower and upper extremity arterial physiologic studies lower and upper extremity arterial duplex Doppler Ultrasound DVT evaluation and Pseudo-aneurysm compression.
Vascular IR technician is responsible for preparing patients for procedures maintaining and operating diagnostic imaging equipment reviewing images for abnormalities and recording findings. Assist in vascular procedures by utilizing imaging for guidance.
Perform daily departmental operations such as: Supply procurement and inventory control Equipment preventive maintenance follow-up.
Compliance with infection control and safety policies Joint Commission compliance committee participation as necessary.

Licensing/Certification
Completion of an accredited Vascular Interventional Radiology Program and ARRT registered in VI Radiology preferred. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
Education
H.S. Graduate or GED.
Work Experience
Two years of work experience in a Vascular Lab performing peripheral arterial venous cerebrovascular and abdominal duplex ultrasound examinations as well as physiologic arterial studies of the upper and lower extremities.
OR
Two years of demonstrated clinical work experience as a Special Procedures/Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist (required).
