Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the capacity of database management systems
- Collaborate with and guide onshore/offshore support teams
- Schedule and oversee patching for production and lower environments
- Strategize and implement robust backup and disaster recovery processes
- Ensure audit readiness and meet governance requirements
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and operational procedures
- Contribute to the development of database strategy architecture and standards
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve database issues ensuring high availability and performance
- Work with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and system upgrades
Requirements
Essential Skills & Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of database concepts including design structure stored procedures and optimization
- Expertise in SQL Server with solid exposure to Oracle; familiarity with Informix DB2 MongoDB DynamoDB or other databases is a plus
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Proven experience writing and analyzing business and technical specifications
- Comfortable working in high-pressure fast-paced environments
- Clear understanding of IT Operations Software Development and Release Management processes using tools like GitHub
- Proficiency in ServiceNow Jira MS Office and SQL tools
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Computer Information Systems or a related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in database support and administration

Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree preferred (preferably in MIS, IT, or Business) 8-10 years experience preferred Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Experience writing business requirements and functional specs Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC Experience with UI/design specs/wireframes Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access) Knowledge of UML and BPMN Knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables associated with eliciting and clearly defining and documenting required business functionality as well as non-functional requirements Knowledge of formal methodologies for planning and executing application development, enhancement, or support Knowledge of tools and techniques for design, development, and support of Client/Server applications Ability to write business requirements and functional specifications Strong writing and communication skills. Strong customer service orientation (responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate). Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner Strong analytical ability with the capability to determine the root cause of problems and issues and provide solutions. Strategic thinking; Applies organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. Superior attention to detail. Ability to juggle multiple, competing, frequently changing time-sensitive deadlines and priorities. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
