Job Description

The RVP & General Manager of The Knox will play a pivotal role in launching and leading one of Dallass most anticipated ultra-luxury hospitality and residential destinations. This position demands a seasoned leader with a track record of successful hotel and branded residence openings particularly in high-end markets. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic leadership and operational excellence. With a keen understanding of F&B sales and marketing and HOA dynamics this leader will be responsible for building a best-in-class team overseeing pre-opening planning and establishing a service culture grounded in personalized one-of-a-kind experiences.

The RVP & General Manager will oversee all aspects of The Knox Hotel & Residences ensuring a seamless and integrated experience for both hotel guests and residence owners. This includes directing day-to-day operations managing homeowner relations across all Auberge branded residences and driving performance across financial guest satisfaction and brand standards metrics. In addition the RVP and General Manager will work closely with the Knox District CEO and their team to ensure the highest level of collaboration operational efficiency and strategic alignmentwith a deep focus on quality and service excellence as guiding principles. 

The role also involves serving as the face of the property within the local community fostering stakeholder relationships and championing The Knox as a cultural and social anchor in the Knox District and Dallas overall. The ideal candidate will embody the Auberge Resorts Collection ethos with a polished presence strong commercial acumen and the ability to lead with integrity and charm.

The initial priority will be the successful launch of The Knox. Once the property is fully operational the RVP & General Manager will transition into their broader regional responsibilities and oversight.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

  • Proven record of leading luxury hotel openings including staffing budgeting operational planning and community engagement.

  • Direct experience managing branded residences or serviced condominiums with an understanding of HOA dynamics and owner expectations.

  • Industry Expertise: Preference for candidates with a strong background in Food & Beverage (F&B) or Sales & Marketing.

  • Owner and Resident Relations: Proven ability to maintain and strengthen relationships with ownership homeowners residents and other key stakeholders.

  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrates a savvy approach to business operations with innovative thinking to address unique challenges especially as The Knox will require bespoke operational solutions.

  • Brand Experience: Previous experience managing independently branded luxury hotels in addition to traditional hospitality brands including properties with integrated residential components.

  • Community Engagement: Strong involvement with the local community and a network within high society. Active engagement with the Knox homeowner community.

  • Global Perspective: International exposure that enriches brand positioning.

  • Opening Experience: Proven record of successfully opening and establishing luxury hotel and residential properties.

  • Local Market Insight: Demonstrated experience in Dallas or broader Texas as a General Manager with knowledge of the market and setting. Experience with luxury residential projects would be highly desirable.

Pre-Opening Leadership

  • Lead all pre-opening efforts including operational planning budgeting critical path timelines and team recruitment.

  • Ensure alignment with brand standards and functionality during the development and design phases.

  • Collaborate with ownership and development teams on marketing positioning and local integration.

  • Set the tone for a service culture rooted in excellence and personalization.

Operational Oversight

  • Direct day-to-day operations of all hotel and residential services.

  • Drive financial performance guest satisfaction and team engagement.

  • Uphold the highest luxury standards across rooms dining wellness and events.

  • Deliver a seamless and integrated experience for both hotel guests and homeowners.

Branded Residences & Owner Relations

  • Oversee the management of 40 branded/serviced Auberge residences.

  • Foster strong homeowner relationships and serve as the primary liaison to HOA/condo boards.

  • Balance the expectations of private residents with the overall brand and operational delivery.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

  • Serve as a key partner to ownership Auberge Resorts Collection and the broader mixed-use development leadership.

  • Actively engage with the local community businesses and high society to embed The Knox as a cultural and social landmark.

  • Champion placemaking efforts in collaboration with adjacent uses (retail office park and multifamily).

Regional Oversight & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategies across assigned properties ensuring alignment with Auberges mission to be the most inspiring operator of one-of-a-kind luxury hospitality experiences.

  • Oversee financial performance including budgeting forecasting and profitability targets ensuring each property delivers exceptional value to owners and stakeholders.

  • Ensure all properties uphold Auberges luxury standards in service design and guest experience fostering a culture of service excellence and personalization. 

  • Mentor and support General Managers and property leadership teams overseeing succession planning and fostering a culture of trust pride and joy among team members.

  • Maintain strong relationships with hotel owners investors and partners ensuring alignment with Auberges strategic goals and maintaining trust in the stewardship of their assets.


Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 10 years experience as a General Manager in a luxury hotel setting; prior experience as a Regional Vice President is strongly preferred.

  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Spanish is highly advantageous.

  • Bachelors degree in Hotel Management Business or a related fieldor equivalent professional experience.
