Job Description
Responsibilities & Opportunities
Sika is looking for an experienced Research Technician to join its growing team in Madison Heights MI for our Automotive & Industry Business.
Research Technicians at Sika will play a key role in supporting specification and product maintenance. Working independently performing lab work the Research Technician will:
- Independently developing test methods and driving routine specification and product maintenance testing.
- They also work to solve mixing/equipment issues independently. and prepare results to present to customer with guidance.
- Performing Lab work to support product maintenance
- Assist DOE DFMEA to facilitate transfer of new products into production
- Assist in Pilot runs
- Work on assigned projects independently
- Understand equipment manual and is able to use equipment to its capabilities
Qualifications :
Preferred Skills:
- High School Diploma and 7 years experiences in thermoplastics thermosets in automotive OEM market or College degree in General Sciences
- Good oral communication and writing skill
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Word Excel Power Point or equivalent
