Are you passionate about food eager to learn and ready to kick-start your culinary career Novotel Liverpool Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade.
What Youll Be Doing:
Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
Maintain high standards of hygiene cleanliness and food safety in all kitchen areas.
Support in the setup and clearing of kitchen stations for daily service.
Follow kitchen procedures and recipes consistently.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Be willing to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
What Were Looking For:
A passion for food and a desire to develop culinary skills.
Some experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essentialtraining will be provided.
A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications :
Qualifications & Experience:
No formal qualifications required but a basic food hygiene certificate is desirable.
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not essential we are happy to train the right candidate.
A keen interest in food preparation and presentation.
Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Professional Cookery (or working towards it) is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong work ethic punctuality and the ability to follow instructions.
Awareness of health and safety and food hygiene standards in the kitchen.
