POSITION OVERVIEWThe Human Resources/ Payroll Director will lead all human resources functions for our educational collaborative serving as a strategic sustainability partner to the Executive Director and Leadership Team while managing day-to-day HR operations. This role requires expertise in HR best practices educational employment regulations and proficiency with the ADP Workforce platform. Enhancing SCECs capacity to provide therapeutic environments through positive behavioral interventions and supports deeper learning collaborative problem solving and change making will be a RESPONSIBILITIES-Payroll Management:Administer bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP Workforce platformManage time tracking leave balances and payroll adjustmentsEnsure accurate tax withholdings and deductionsReconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll concernsPreparing bi-weekly payroll warrant for approvalBenefit and consultant payment management utilizing Tyler ERPCompliance:Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulationsOversee workers compensation claims and OSHA reportingConduct internal audits to ensure HR policy adherenceStay current on education-specific employment regulationsManage employee relations issues and conduct investigations as neededRecruitment & Hiring:Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain a diverse educational clinical and nursing staffCoordinate job postings applicant screening and interview processesConduct background checks and credential verificationFacilitate new hire onboarding and orientationManage contract renewals for teaching staffBenefits Administration:Oversee benefits enrollment and administration through ADP WorkforceServe as primary contact for benefit vendors and insurance providersCoordinate annual open enrollment periodProcess benefit changes due to qualifying life eventsProvide benefits guidance and support to employeesAdditional Duties:Develop and maintain employee handbook and HR policiesImplement professional development programs and performance management systemsProvide strategic HR guidance to Executive Director and Leadership TeamAutomating various HR functions utilizing ADP WorkforceLead staff recognition initiatives and retention strategiesManage HR budget and department resources
