Job Description

Cadence Design Systems is looking for a highly motivated software or digital IC design engineer to work with the Innovus routing team in the physical implementation business unit. You will be part of a team responsible for designing developing troubleshooting debugging and supporting P&R design flow. Development responsibilities will include data-model and P&R flow enhancement database enhancement performance enhancement and API/Class definition & enhancement.
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
- US person status satisfying U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulation
- MS with 6 years of experience in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge in IC design data model placement optimization and routing related algorithms
- Proficiency with C/C and Tcl scripting is preferred
- Experience in P&R software tool usage is a plus
- Excellent programming and software engineering skills
- Experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms is preferred
The annual salary range for California is $154000 to $286000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus equity and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications skill level competencies and work location.
