Job Description

Position:Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Qualification:

  • RBT certification
  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Previous experience working with children with autism or in the field of ABA
  • Experience with data collection and reporting on student progress
  • Effective interpersonal oral and written communication skills

Summary:

Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a talented RBT to work 1:1 with a student in a self-contained ABA program setting. The RBT will work under the direction of the Special Education Teacher and the Program BCBA.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students including implementing discrete trials
  • Assist in creating implementing and monitoring progress of individualized programming (including facilitating social skills groups)
  • Assist in delivering direct behavior-analytic services implementing behavior plans and collecting and graphing data
  • Assist in the development of IEPs
  • Continuously monitor students response to treatment through data collection methods
  • Implement behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors
  • Support students with various ADLs (including toileting) when needed
  • Collaborate with teachers parents and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Perform other related duties as required

Work Year:190 days total (180 school days 10 days). There is an opportunity to work the Extended School Year Program in the summer as well if you choose to do so.

Work Day:7.5 hours Monday - Friday. Schedule is consistent with the district calendar.

Compensation:competitiverate per hour commensurate with experience
