Our Retail Team in the St. Louis office is seeking aSenior Interior Designerto support our national retail and professional services rollout clients. This is a high-impact role focused on technical excellence project delivery and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead space planning finish selections and design development aligned with established brand standards
- Manage multiple interior remodel projects ranging from 1500 to 5000 SF (average 3000 SF)
- Oversee construction administration: review shop drawings respond to RFIs and ensure design intent
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients coordinating with engineers contractors and local building departments
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards timelines and brand guidelines
- Support and mentor junior designers and team members
- Potential for occasional travel based on project or client needs
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited institution
- 15 years of experience in a commercial or retail interior design/architecture firm
- Advanced proficiency in Revit AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel)
- Exceptional organizational design and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of interior construction methods materials detailing and codes
- Ability to juggle 4050 active project deadlines in a fast-paced high-volume environment
- Collaborative mindset with attention to detail and a drive for quality
- Experience managing client relationships and adapting brand standards to various site conditions
- Familiarity with national and regional accessibility codes (ICC Chapter 11B TAS ADA) and life safety/fire separation standards
