Job Context
In order to retain leadership position in its industry UTCL has drawn ambitious growth plans. The growth phase of the organization demands uninterrupted support and regular enhancement of IT services to enable smooth functioning of critical business processes.
The application footprint of the organization has increased and with the expansion of the business the number of users is also continuously growing. Hence it is imperative that there be dedicated teams for maintenance of individual applications. A two tiered team would help differentiate responsibilities better. The senior member / Team Leader would be accountable for process standardization identifying and implementing process business improvements providing overall delivery services for the application and guidance to team members.
Major Challenges
Design common processes & solution with option to address varying localisation requirements
Manage user resistance towards change management driven by systems
Coordination and dependence on multiple stakeholders (on which the incumbent may not have much control and some of them may have different priorities) for timely delivery of solution
Proactive legal statutory and audit compliance in wake of dynamic business scenarioTowards this end CMD has decided to standardize on SAP platform for all its business processes running across 22 manufacturing locations and more than 150 mktg offices. Our complete business processes like financial accounting material mgmt plant maintenance production planning and sales & distribution etc are now carried out thru FI experts are responsible for design development maintain and modification of all financial accounting processes thru SAP
Major Challenges: Communizing financial accounting processes and reports across large number of plants and mktg offices - including acquisitions having legacy systems Prioritizing & meeting requirements of diverse groups Thrust Areas
1. Simplification and standardization of processes & MIS requirements.

4. Ensuring availability of the business solution (as per SLAs)
