The Role
As a Senior Naval Architect the primary focus of your role will be the delivery of hydrodynamic testing and design consultancy services to the UK Ministry of Defence and commercial customers. Areas of focus will be hull model design and manufacture propeller design and manufacture resistance and propulsion experiments and cavitation experiments. As part of the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering group there will be opportunities to be involved in ship and submarine stability seakeeping manoeuvring and control.
Day-to-day youll have a key role in planning and leading the technical delivery of programmes of work such as hydrodynamic simulations/experiments of ships and submarines in support of design and operation.

This role is 37 hours per week based at Haslar Gosport. Hybrid working patterns are available.

Our facilities at the Haslar Marine Technology Park are state-of-the-art including our ocean basin rotating arm and marine towing tank offering an unparalleled environment for testing and refining designs. Our marine technology offers our global customers a service to deliver constrained hydrodynamic model tests of surface ships submarines offshore structures and renewable energy devices.
