Job Description

Title: Lenape Language Teacher

Start Date: July 2 2025

End Date: July 29 2025

Position Type: Temporary

Posting Overview:

This is an internal/external posting. First preference will be given to qualified permanent Secondary L.K.D.S.B. teachers.

Reporting to the System Coordinator of Alternative and Continuing Education the Lenape Language Teacher will provide a Lenape language program at a site to be determined at Eelnaapewi Lahkewiit. Eelnaapewi Lahkewiit will provide support for the program with the provision of community knowledge keepers and language speakers.
Qualifications/Experience:

Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification required;
Lenape language proficiency required;
Experience working with Indigenous students an asset;
Experience with credit recovery and/or student success initiatives an asset.

Position Effective Date & Length - Duration & Schedule:

9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Rate: $58.58/hour
