Job Purpose
The Billing Manager supports completion of all aspects of inpatient LTAC and outpatient billing for services including claims billing claims management collections reconsiderations and reconciliations. Ensures efficient processes are carried out billing objectives are being met updates fees schedules timely system validation occurs audits and reporting is completed timely. This position also supports the Retail Pharmacy accounting function along with any additional duties assigned by the Senior Director of Finance or CFO.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversees inpatient LTAC and outpatient billing. Ensuring timing payments of claims are made and correctly applied to accounts.

Prepare end of month inpatient and outpatient activity.

Enter outpatient therapy Accounts Receivable into the General Ledger and reconciles therapy accounts to the General Ledger.

Assists with claim billing posting payments received and claims resolution.
30%
Monitors inpatient data and claims.

Tracks and reconciles Recipient Trust activity.
5%
Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility
Supervises the Billing Department as questions or circumstances arise. Including answering questions from staff ensuring timely deliverables at month end and being the Billing Department liaison to the Hospital as reports and questions come up. Direct reports include Outpatient Billing Specialists Claim Resolution Specialist and Payment Specialist.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting Business or Finance
Experience:
3 years of experience in billing and claims resolution
1 years of experience in management
Meditech software knowledge preferred
License/Certification/Credential:
