6. Evidence of successful experience of planning for and implementation of elementary classroom instruction.
7. Evidence of recent successful experience working with at risk readers.
8. Evidence of recent course work in areas of reading/language arts social skills and science.
9. Evidence of successful communication with school staff parents and students.
10. Experience working effectively with a broad range of ability levels using developmentally appropriate methods and expectations.
11. Curriculum integration experience and ability to work with a team of teachers in creating and implementing new curricular programs.
12. Experience or willingness to participate in Sheltered English Techniques and/or GLAD training.
13. Willingness to participate in parent meetings beyond the workday.
14. Training and/or experience using computers as an instructional tool.
15. Experience in administering various tests - STAR CORE RAN CBMassessments using a rubric etc.
16. Evidence of successful utilization of positive classroom management strategies

Job Description:
1. Prepare class assignments and show written evidence upon request of immediate supervisor.
2. Provide an effective program of instruction in accordance with curriculum and consistent with physical limitations of the location provided and needs and capabilities of individual or student groups involved.
3. Attend and participate in faculty and team meetings.
4. Cooperate with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals objectives and methods.
5. Establish and maintain cooperative and positive professional relationships with other members.
6. Assist in the selection of books equipment and other instructional materials.
7. Explore and implement different curriculum and teaching strategies as identified through building/grade level adoption process.
8. Support district and building goals by participating in planning training implementing and evaluating effectiveness of programs grants and curriculum and teaching methodologies thatschool participates in.
9. Encourage parent involvement participate in parent involvement activities and maintain good relationships with parents.
10. Maintain records as required by Federal and State law district policy and administrative regulations.
11. Implement the requirements of IDEA Sec. 504 and ADA in the education of students with disabilities.
12. Provide lesson plans for paraeducator-lead reading groups.
13. Actively participate in a PLT and the school-wide PLC.
14. Support classroom teacher reading groups through meetings providing materials and other tasks as needed.
15. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Hazards:While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to work outdoors in a wide variety of temperatures; from -10 degrees F to 100 degrees F . The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in this work environment is moderate.
Application Procedure: In-District staffmust complete an internal online application by10:00 p.m. (PST) on or before the closing date.In-building/In-district staff will have eight school days or eight working days during the summer to apply for a vacant position through the online application system. The employee may choose but will not be required to meet with the building administrator to understand the building practices procedures and initiatives specific to the position to which they are applying. After eight days if an in-building employee is qualified for the position the principal will offer the employee the position. In the case that more than one in-building employee is interested in a position the position will be offered to the qualified and senior employee.
