Job Title: AWS Infrastructure Engineer (Telecom Domain Required)
Location: Philadelphia PA (Hybrid/On-site Options Available)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experiencedAWS Infrastructure Engineerwith a strong background in thetelecommunications domainto design deploy and manage scalable and secure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise inAWS cloud services Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation and DevOps practices ensuring high availability performance and security of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintainhighly available scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and manageInfrastructure as Code (IaC)usingTerraform AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDKfor automated deployments.
- Optimizenetworking architectures includingVPCs subnets route tables security groups VPNs and Direct Connect.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning configuration and deployment usingCI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI/CD AWS CodePipeline).
- Implementmonitoring logging and alerting solutions (CloudWatch Prometheus ELK Stack)for proactive issue resolution.
- Collaborate withDevOps and development teamsto streamline deployments and improve system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolveperformance security and scalability challengesin cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance withsecurity best practices IAM policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supportcontainerized workloads (Docker ECS EKS Kubernetes)and serverless architectures (Lambda API Gateway).
- 5 years of hands-on experienceinAWS cloud infrastructuredesign and management.
- Strong expertise inInfrastructure as Code (IaC)usingTerraform CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
- Proficient inscripting & automation(Python Bash or PowerShell).
- Deep understanding ofnetworking in AWS (VPC Transit Gateway Load Balancers Route 53).
- Experience withCI/CD pipelines DevOps tools (Jenkins GitLab GitHub Actions) and configuration management.
- Knowledge ofcontainerization (Docker Kubernetes ECS EKS)andserverless computing (Lambda Fargate).
- Familiarity withsecurity best practices (IAM KMS WAF GuardDuty Security Hub).
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect SysOps Administrator DevOps Engineer)are a strong plus.
- Telecom industry experienceisrequired(e.g. working with network services 5G OSS/BSS systems).
- Experience withmulti-cloud environments (AWS Azure/GCP).
- Knowledge ofobservability tools (Datadog New Relic Grafana).
- Understanding oftelecom protocols (Diameter SIP SS7)andcloud-native telecom solutions.
