Job Description

The Front-End Developer will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining user interfaces for our web applications. This role requires a strong understanding of modern front-end technologies and best practices with a focus on creating intuitive responsive consistent and efficient user experiences.

U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residence is required for this role. In addition the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

TCG is pleased to offer remote employment in the following states: AL AZ CO CT DE GA HI IL IN KS LA MD MA MI MN MO NJ NC OH OR PA (excluding the City of Philadelphia) SC TN UT VA WV and WI.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and maintaining responsive web applications using Angular.
  • Translating UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.
  • Collaborating with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic and APIs.
  • Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Writing E2E and unit tests.
  • Writing clean maintainable and well-documented code.
  • Participating in code reviews providing constructive feedback to peers.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging front-end issues.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and trends.
  • Working within an Agile/Scrum development process participating in stand-ups sprint planning and retrospectives.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in front-end web development.
  • Strong proficiency in Angular including its core principles and advanced concepts.
  • Expertise in HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Python and Django for back-end development.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
  • Experience with state management patterns (e.g. NgRx RxJS).
  • Knowledge of build tools such as Webpack.
  • Experience with front-end testing frameworks (e.g. Jasmine Karma).
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline; four (4) years of experience may be substituted instead of a degree.

Internal title/grade: Software Engineer E1
Salary range: $75000 - $77000

All individuals being hired to work for TCG must submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation prior to reporting for their first day of work. The pre-employment background investigation will include verification of employment and education as well as a criminal and DMV check.


Additional documentation and background checks will also be required for positions that require clearance from the Federal government.
