Communications Manager Engineering
Great communication keeps us connected and for our engineering teams that connection has never been more important.
As part of our corporate communications team youll lead internal communications for Engineering a department of over 1800 colleagues based right across the North. From our major depots to smaller outstations our engineers keep our fleet of 379 trains in safe clean and reliable condition to carry thousands of customers each day.
Right now Engineering is going through a major transformation with new systems facilities and kit helping our teams meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. As our Communications Manager for Engineering youll bring people along on that journey. Youll work closely with the Engineering leadership team to shape and deliver
communications plans and campaigns to engage our engineering teams to embrace these changes as they take place.
What youll be doing
About you
Were after someone who can hit the ground running so youll need hands-on experience in internal communications. Youll be confident building relationships and talking to people at all levels with a natural engaging writing style that makes complex things simple.
Curious about how things work Thatll help too because youll be spending time in our depots and outstations getting to know our Engineering teams. Youll need to travel around the network so flexibility is key.
