About the Role
As the Junior E&I Engineer you will apply your developing technical knowledge to undertake assigned tasks of moderate scope and complexity in supporting. Working under the guidance of senior engineers you will contribute to project deliverables assist with calculations and documentation and participate in site activities.
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills gain hands on experience and work towards Chartered status with Engineers Australia.
Your duties will include
Assist in the design of power systems motors and drive systems and electrical protection systems
Specify equipment such as switchboards instruments generators and UPS
Familiarity and building knowledge of technical software for engineering calculations (e.g. ETAP SKM PTW Power CAD)
Support project controls estimations scoping scheduling and documentation
Participate in risk assessments and ensure compliance with Australian standards Ventia systems and client requirements
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to design reviews
Engage in continuous learning and process improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree in electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
Relevant experience or equivalent postgraduate experience (i.e. engineering project tasks basic calculations documentation support field work)
Familiarity with Australian standards Electrical and Safety regulations
Solid communication attention to detail and time management skills
Strong teamwork skills and ability to work autonomously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office experience with AutoCAD or engineering software is a plus
A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow
Must have full working rights in Australia.
